Spitballing here, but I'm guessing they run someone four years from now.

I posed that question to those involved in the process.

One third of the voters in (open) primaries.

And, look, I understand why racists would support a guy who says he's going to stop illegal immigration and crack down on Islamic terror. That doesn't make the positions racist, and shouldn't embarrass those who support the positions.

If 33 percent of Republicans are bigots, Cran was off by 67 percent.

This is a nuance that a lot of people don't seem to get. I've seen no indication that Trump himself is racist.

That said, you're euphemizing his position in Islamic terror a little there. He said he's going to stop Muslims from entering America.

I'd argue strenuously with the notion that Cruz voters aren't supporting racism and xenophobia. Trump is just more indelicate about it.

Ok, it's getting obvious that Rubio can't get it done as the traditional GOP candidate. Is the GOP desperate enough to hold their collective noses and throw the weight of the party behind Cruz, or is he so despised that they'll take their chances with some kind of convention fuckery?

    What about Kasich?

I'm trying to think of a scenario where a Dem candidate would be asked to disavow the support of anyone.

Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson and Al "white interloper" Sharpton are elder statesman of the party, and both ran for the dem nomination without controversy.

Dems court La Rasa ( The Race), and the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

The joy of being a dem is that no matter how far to the left you are (even if you're a socialist), you're still considered by the press and the party as being a part of the mainstream.

I'm not sure that's the guy you want to criticize, on that front.

He's pantsed journalists for about a decade now, on such things.
