I have an issue with that. You don't clean up someone's exact words to fit your agenda.
CNN could have paraphrased by writing Trump thinks both candidates "should release detailed medical records" and then linked to Trump's tweet.

    Yes.

If they wanted to paraphrase it, they could have. But, they portrayed this as his tweet, as a direct quote. There's no good reason to edit that, and CNN had admitted its error.

And, they clearly did it because they don't want to contribute to labeling Hillary as crooked.

It's definitely a strange edit. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I guess they didn't think the name-calling added anything and, in fact, lowered the discourse. Not their call to make if you're representing it as a verbatim Tweet.

Medically speaking we know with certainty that Bill is the "crooked" one of
    the Clinton family

Yep. The goal is to make assuage the consciences of the Trump supporters inclined to listen to theirs.

    0% popularity also doesn't mean he'll get 0% of the African-Amercan vote.

Hillary has not closed the sale with African-Amercan voters.

Every poll shows a healthy percentage of them as undecided. If you haven't already decided to vote for Hillary, what's going to put it over the top for you?

Trump will do as well or better with African-Amercans and Hispanics than McCain or Romney did.

I will bet you a month's hiatus from SJ that this doesn't happen.

McCain pulled 31 percent of the Hispanic vote in 2008. You sure you want a piece of that action?
