We'll probably need to call in Smallpotatoes for a ruling on the legitimacy of this theory.

Is Portman's U-turn as bad as Obama and Clinton's focus-group and polling-based decision?

Oh, I don't think it's legit, the very idea of it tickles me though.

A whole lot of people in the past 20 years or so saw their opinion on gay marriage and/or homosexuality in general change because they found out somebody they care about was gay. Why would that be reason to rebuff his support?

Trump released details of his health care plan today:

The area of prescription drugs is where Trump breaks from most Republicans. His plan calls for allowing drugs to be imported from overseas to increase competition and drive down prices, an idea strongly opposed by pharmaceutical companies and favored by Hillary Clinton. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is also a rare Republican who supports the idea.

Trump has also previously called for allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices, another common Democratic idea opposed by the industry.

    Trump releases healthcare plan

Whatever else you think, it really is quite interesting. Trump really isn't running as a doctrinal Republican, yet is winning anyway.

And, some of his policy differences will make him an attractive general election candidate.

Trump continues to do best among voters who are prime targets for the Democratic Party:

Voters without a college degree were significantly more likely than those with one to support Trump, but neither Rubio nor Cruz could pull ahead of Trump among those with one.

Trump also did best among the least affluent voters -- those in households making less than $30,000 a year. Cruz pulled even among middle income voters in households making between $50,000 and $100,000 a year, while Rubio did best among those in households making more than $200,000 a year.

Trump dominates with huge turnouts, wide base of support

Class warfare strategies aren't going to work as well for Hillary against Trump. She's tied to Wall St. She's accepted huge speaking fees from big banks and won't release the transcripts. She's favored big trade deals. And, she favors open immigration, legalization, and amnesty.

Low income voters think Trump will fight for them.

There's plenty more than that. Remember, all of the Clintons' doddering 60-70+ year-old compatriots were young dewy-eyed liberal Dems in the 70s when Nixon's gang of criminals were pulling their ratfucking on Muskie, McGovern, Eagleton, etc etc etc., and they've been waiting 40 years for a chance at payback. And the Dems are currently running the DOJ and FBI. Shit will come out on Trump which will make his incest fixation, venereal diseases and gaysex escapades look tame. No more "Kumbayah," they're going for the fuckin' throat.

Or it fails spectacularly, sending more support Trump's way.

Shit, that's nothing. CNN just did a segment on what Trump's Florida neighbors think of him. #journalism

I love Bibi, but Israel might want to look at it's own political failings before criticizing us.

Ehud Olmert wasn't a shining example of virtue for the world to follow.
