Trump is going to win. I've resigned myself to it at this point.

Isn't that one of the later stages of grief?

I think he is, too, and I'm not just saying that to get people's goats. He's figured this out.

I'm not 1/100th as worried as others that he is going to implement some Nazi authoritarian regime. I don't think he's actually that way. I think that he didn't really understand the presidency, early on.

I'm also not worried about him with minorities. I think he has genuinely, through the course of this campaign, come to enjoy this notion of being the unexpected champion of the downtrodden.

My biggest worry is just him not understanding issues.

Pence is going to run the country anyway. I dislike him intensely as my governor. But he's not a fool or anything. He's a competent public official with whom I have strong policy disagreements.

I am not sure Trump will win, but he could very well do so. David Wasserman over at 538 has a jolly scenario in which Clinton wins the popular vote but Trump wins in the electoral college. That'd be a swell ending, huh?

Seems like this could be a good time to invest in pitchforks and torches. What do you think, @The Big Ragu?

Because she just had a baby...

Edit: thought you were asking where Ivanka had been.

Melania was "MIA" before the convention too. She has a young son at home.

She handled the question fine, btw.

But, it is funny how fashion mags, or comedy show hosts, suddenly want to conduct a tough interview when they have a republican guest.

Matt Lauer only wanted to conduct one when he had a Democrat guest.

Mostly agree. Just not sure it will be Pence running the country. Could be a chief of staff. Could be Ivanka.

Do you think Ivanka can find Bush's emails? She seems way smarter than his bumbling idiot sons.
