The same thing happened after Trump's convention, which meant we had no "Trump bounce" stories coming into Hillary's convention.

Then we had a full slate of polls perfectly timed to capture her "bounce" and drive the narrative.

 

No idea.

Me personally? Yeah. But there's a reason past and present media members usually don't buy media conspiracy theories. Many of us wonder how the top leaders ever find their way out of the bathroom each morning.

 

I'm glad you don't think it's a conspiracy, tho...

Trump didn't do anything "wrong," far as I can tell. The Clintons have done stuff in a similar vein - not necessarily on taxes, but other issues - many times over.

But the Clintons tend to get pummeled for such things, so it makes sense that Trump does too. This election is not a referendum on him. It's miserable, spiritually sick white America's referendum on clinton and everyone else in Washington. No reasonable thinker would have put Trump forward in the first place, so his advantage is rooted in being everything Clinton isn't - and especially not a self interested crony.

So any trump act that looks clintonesque...looks bad. And this sure as shit does. It looks like the rich guy used clever rules to get out of paying his fair share. That's offensive to "little guy" white America, which, in its prideful mind, always gets stiffed.

If trump is just Hillary with a potty Mouth, he loses.

It's not the potty mouth. It's seeming like Hillary.
