Pence would get destroyed. Destroyed. People don't seem to understand that if you just swap out "generic republican" you might win 10 percent in the center, but lose 15 percent on the far right.

I'm not even condemning Trump's comments. It's just amazing to couple his words with Lewandowski's. Tone deaf doesn't begin to describe it.

ALSO, Yeah, Pence would get his ass kicked up and down in this election.

The Republicans had EIGHT YEARS to find someone worth nominating for president. EIGHT FUCKING YEARS.

    It's your hypocrisy, not his.

Are they worthy of holding the highest office in the land?

No they won't -- Pence was depantsed as a lying tool in the debate with Kaine.

And he also got wrapped head to toe in Trump's tentacles of shit. If they dump Dumpf, Pence has to go too.

Some are much more worthy than either of the two we're faced with.

Right. Bill's being forced to walk back his comments for "other reasons."

Talk about someone who just got played.

Always remember: they wanted to not nominate him really badly. They just couldn't solve the collective action problem, which is ideologically delicious. It was in all their best interests to hold out to try to get to Trump one on one, but all of them staying in too long assured Trump's victory.

I would feel bad for them if they hadn't Vichy'd up so quickly right after.

If it's a reason Trump isn't qualified, why is it not a reason Bill isn't qualified?

    Answer: Hypocrisy.

And the truth of this whole thing is The Nominee of the One and Only Official Party of Family Values and America could schedule a rally for any stadium in the SEC and be cheered like the home team.

If Pence had been the nominee all along, I think he gets crushed.

If somehow tomorrow the ticket was Pence-Rubio, I'm not so sure.

I'm not sure they have time to define him.

He'd certainly consolidate the Republican vote. Could the folks who are open to an alternative to Hillary be convinced that he's unacceptable?
