Sorry, I didn't mean to put words in your mouth.

I'm not trying to argue against his comment as a generalization, I just think that a lot of posters here (and I'd put myself at the top of the list) have gone for quick, cutting insults. It struck me as odd that this particular comment made him persona non grata.

 

You were right. We all got used to tony's ridiculous, sweeping generalizations to the point of being numb, but that one deserved a response and yours was well done.

 

I feel odd speaking on behalf of the guy, but isn't it possible that he's embraced the role of the villain? I replied to an incendiary comment of his once with a snarky reference to the telenovela meme incident, but I also had a lengthy post directed his way and he responded cordially. Maybe it's just a chicken-and-egg situation in which he goes scorched in response to people calling him a buffoon which perpetuates the perception.

 

I certainly understand and respect that viewpoint.

 

I seriously would like to have a drink with o_t to see if the real life persona and the online one are similar. That said, I don't care enough to fly or travel to do it.

 

I, for one, welcome my Lugnuts overlord.

 

This long national nightmare of an election will be over in 21 days.

That would be a good time to have a big gathering and group hug.

And, of course, the 2020 Election begins 21 days from now.

 

This should brighten some spirits here.
