Anyone have any insight on the IBD/TIPP poll? By all accounts, it's well respected and accurate. But in this cycle, it's wildly different than most other polls. I understand the right-leaning results of Rasmussen and LA Times/USC polls.

But IBD results are odd.

 

The key difference between the three pollsters showing a small Trump lead or a tie is Clinton's topline number. For whatever reason, they continue to show her in low 40s, just like Trump, while Clinton is over 45 percent or nearing 50 in the other polls. Could be modeling a whiter, older electorate in their Likely Voter screen or getting higher third party results, easy to do since only a very small number of respondents can turn, say, Johnson 4 into Johnson 8.
