One thing that might, repeat might happen is defection from members of the corporate management class who were alienated by Trump seeking to influence Democrats to move to the right but within that party instead of outside.

 

After Trump loses, they'll put in rules to narrow down the establishment field quicker and get the Trump base back on a leash.

Trump isn't new, Trump is just the first one to be lucky enough to have his appeal to that plurality win the nomination via vote-splitting.

How about Comey respond by ordering the immediate arrest of Trump on charges of treason, campaign fraud, embezzlement, child rape, aggravated sexual assault and incest, then drag him to the slam cuffed hand and foot between a phalanx of armed FBI agents?
