I do admit when I'm wrong. I did so on Dickie's Cubs in the HOF thread a few days ago. What I don't do is bend just because a bunch of folks disagree with me. YF made a point that supported Trump's plan. Given his relentless defense of his beloved party's candidate, it is absolutely valid to see that as a defense of said plan. You are free to disagree and move on, but some of y'all would rather obsess over me.

For whatever it's worth, Clinton back to +3 in RCP average. And 68 percent via Nate Silver.

Trump speech on right now. Good lord he's angry and hateful. And lying.

Says he's bringing back coal. Coal workers. Miners. Steel workers.

None of these things can actually happen. And no matter what, his base will end up even angrier.

There are some people who think that he's a guy who "gets things done."

There are others who know he can't make this happen, but they are happy that someone seems to actually care enough to say it.

Not many coal mines in North Carolina. Steel mills either. Why didn't he say "furniture factories" and "textile mills?" Those are the manufacturing jobs that state lost. Only conclusion he doesn't is that he neither knows nor cares. I think we have to make a careful distinction between the crowds at Trump rallies, who clearly love everything he says because he's giving them a license to hate in public and cast spells at their demons and the vast majority of his voters who will choose him because he's the Republican, and that's how they vote, period.

Some just think it's fun to vote for a non-politician.
