For all of the talk of Trump's inexperience, we are also coming off eight years with President Obama.

One could argue he was Oprah's reality TV star off of one speech in 2004. He had never run anything - not a mayor or governor - when he took over in 2009.

Some things Obama struggled with early but he mostly surrounded himself with smart people. Notice how few leaks ever came out of the White House. I think the President knew the historical nature of his presidency and he put an extra emphasis on having an administration that was buttoned up in all manners.

While I disagreed with his politics and often found his approach from 2010 on to be as divisive as possible, Obama was the best of what our country could produce as a person. A man with an upbringing that was far from ideal who knew what he wanted and attained it. He has an outstanding family - seems to be an engaged father - and I'm proud that he was our president for eight years.

I don't think he entered on a lark.

He had an exploratory committee together in 2000 and decided against running. He trotted out Make America Great Again years ago. He went eyeball deep into birtherism to stoke the alt-right base.

    Except he very nearly did.

I am a lot more interested now in that old story that he made the final decision while sitting at the correspondents' dinner listening to Obama mock him about the birtherism.

Trump's inexperience doesn't bother me in the slightest. His mental instability does

This is going to be difficult. It was relatively simple for the GOP to claim the ACA is a disaster and that they would repeal it when they had no chance of doing so. It sounded great to the base and didn't require the creation and thoughtful vetting of a replacement plan. Now Trump and the GOP are on the clock and not only have to come up with an idea, but one that will:

    - Be cheaper for patients
    - Be more profitable for private payers
    - Reduce overall healthcare expenditure
    - Not affect a patient's provider network
    - Not whisk away coverage for those with preexisting conditions

Oh, and this must be done posthaste since it was first and foremost of the policies that were crippling America.

    Yikes.

I think you guys are underestimating the post-Tea Party GOP if you think they have to replace it with something they think works.

That's fucking inexcusable that almost 47 percent of eligible voters don't vote. If you're eligible to vote and don't, you can go fuck yourself with a rusty hacksaw blade.

He decided to run because the mooslim neegro lipped off to him at the White House Dinner. He decided he was gonna put that boy in his place.

The whole concept of a really really rich white guy telling the mooslim neegro boy to sit down and shut up was a big hit with Breitbart America, which now runs the show.

Pretty much all the mooslims and all the neegros and all the Mexicans and the Lugenpresse and all the hot pieces of ass can sit down and shut up now.

    Others are less sanguine.

Donald Trump supporter appears to shout 'kill Obama' during his victory speech

Congratulations to Trump voters. You got the country back you always wanted. White nationalism without apology. Revel in it. Soak it up.
