Good point about shopping for the right doctors or facilities. There are some stinkers out there. When my wife had back surgery, every nurse asked who performed the surgery.

And they way they said it, was that they feared what your answer might be. Ours got a "Good" though.

Of course not. But because I wouldn't shop at WalMart for chemo, doesn't mean I shouldn't shop around for a lower cost on my X-Rays to check out a broken bone, or an MRI for a torn knee ligament. Just because you don't shop around for everything, doesn't mean you shouldn't shop around for anything.

Also, I'm very sorry you and your wife have had to go through all that. Hope it has all worked and she's on the mend.

My twitter is a news feed on acid. For every two tweets I get worth reading, there are 20 that make me laugh/shake my head.

Thank you. Things are good, and we are better off than most.

This cost cutting though silly at times. When one of my daughters was less than a 2 years old and maybe about 1 she went to the doctor for something but I don't remember what. SHe needed an X-Ray and Blood test. The child was sick, had a fever and was completely uncomfortable. But because of insurance, the doctor couldn't draw the blood for the test, it had to be another service that had a contract with the insurance company. But that service wasn't contracted for the X-Ray, so my wife had to drive a sick baby to a doctor, a blood lab and an X-Ray facility to save the insurance company money. All things that could have been done quickly. There was even am X-Ray and lab in the doctor's building, but not the right one. This is the wrong way to run a health care system.

Yes, I can shop a bit for my torn rotator cuff, we chose our daughter's orthopedist for ACL surgery not based on cost but on quality, AND the fact that he made house calls. Yes, he showed up at the stadium's training room to make an initial diagnosis. We need a form of socialized medicine where everyone pays and everyone is covered for everything.

BTW, when research Neulasta I did find that WalMart, BJs, Costco and just about everyone in the pharm business was able to offer it. But none of them actually carry it because it is too expensive to stock. The oncologist receives it from the manufacturer or whole RX supplier on as as needed basis

There hasn't been this big a deal over someone so meaningless since the Josh Hamilton sweepstakes.

The best part is every damn time he talks about how the rest of the calendar looks really good for him. And he's pulling 5% in Ohio.
On a scale of 1 to "please clap" how pathetic is it at this point?

When you're getting beaten by "undecided" it's time to take a long look at why you're staying in.
