Actually, he said that women should be punished for having abortions.

Then, after getting destroyed by members of both sides for saying that, flip-flopped and said he changed his mind. Then he was silent on the issue for the rest of the campaign.

Christie might actually get a job, but yes, you put tons of people on the transition team to make them feel important.

Transition teams don't set policy. They help staff an administration.

Blackwell doesn't have a policy setting job.

Christie might get a job, but it won't involve Senate confirmation. He cannot afford to testify under oath about Bridgegate.

But then there's Pence. But I don't think he can pull some of the stunts he pulled in Indiana.

Trump is all about punishing enemies. Liberals opposed him. Liberals like gay marriage. The math is pretty easy from there

It was slightly different from that. He said that if you make abortions illegal then women who have them should be punished. But you're right, he quickly got pummeled from both the right and the left and that was the end of that.

I guess we will find out.

There is very little I would put past Trump and very little standing in his way.

The Wisconsin/North Carolina blueprint is going to be applied widely with no fear of court interference. This puts GOP control of Congress effectively above fear of voter reprisal until 2020 at best, and gives them several points of wiggle room in 2020. They've got a critical mass of "the will of the people isn't behind us but we win anyway" rules in place.

With "the will of the people" being defined as "what the result would have been under system A despite the fact that they actually voted in an election run under system B."

System A being designed to make sure we win by making sure people likely to vote against us have as little access to voting resources as possible and cramming them into ridiculously targeted districts so that we can get far fewer votes and more representation.
