As a percentage of the population divided into total EVs, when I voted in North Dakota in 2008 my vote counted for a bit more than double what it did this year in California.

Absolutely. If you think our LGBTQ friends are going to be safe, you haven't been paying attention.

Also joining the Trump transition team, that has absolutely no purpose and would never ever give a clue as to how he plans to govern, is the man who wrote the Arizona law that attempted to give police the power to arrest and detain indefinitely any person who did not have ID proving citizenship on their person at the time.

They don't even care at the state level. Only decent candidate they've had for governor was Schwarzenegger, and we all remember how he got into office, right? Both houses redder than red as well.

Everybody needs to take a deep breath. None of us know what Trump is going to do. We don't know who will be in his cabinet. Whatever he says he's going to do, we know we can't trust him not to be lying out the ass.

The Republican leadership doesn't know what he's going to do either.

God help us all. I don't trust him not to screw all sorts of things up.

I don't think not knowing what he's going to do should inspire relaxation.

Nope... but I don't see where getting my knickers all in a twist is going to do a damn bit of good. We're hung with the fucker for four years. I'm not going to work myself into a puddle of anxiety at this point in the process.

While I believe people can change, even late in life, Trump has given us a road map of who he is for 50 years. How is reading that road map paranoid or pathetic? We're just going on what HE has told and showed us.

    This, word for word:
"After all, Trump didn’t hide these things about himself, or try to sneak these plans in by a side door. They were in full view this entire time. If you vote for a bigot who has bigoted plans, you need to be aware of what that says about you, and your complicity in those plans."
