People who vote in a party primary are likely to vote for that party's candidate in a general election.

Not voting in a competitive primary shows a lack of interest in the campaign.

Could a nominee like Trump inspire people who weren't inspired by the primary campaign to come out in a general? Maybe. But, it's a sure sign that more work will have to be done to pull them out.

Obama didn't have to spend a dime to get Pookie off the couch in Michigan in either of his campaigns. If Hillary has to spend time/money to get out the African-American vote in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, she's in trouble.

Has anyone called Michigan for Bernie yet?

Why are they so afraid to make the call against the queen?

It's like they're all channeling Karl Rove, insisting that Romney could still win.

    She lost. Call it.

Oh, YF, give it up. There is no telling. Clinton was saying her wins in places like Pennsylvania in 2008 meant white voters wouldn't show up for Obama. It's a big win for Sanders, and he is going to win, I think, but it doesn't mean much about November. Voters of either party plus independents could vote in either primary today in Michigan. Why would the Sanders voters go for Trump if they didn't do it today? Seems logical, but we both know some will.

PS to your last post. They are gunshy after Louisiana got so close after they called it for Trump Saturday night, that's all.

Agreed, but YF can't pass up a chance to take a shot at the "Libruhl Media."

Wayne County (Detroit) is 2/3 in. She's only up in Wayne by 30,000 votes. He's up statewide by 35,000 votes.

Wayne is not going to make up the difference.

    Bernie won.

I believe you are right about Michigan. However, due to the lopsided win in Mississippi, Clinton won both more delegates and more raw votes than did Sanders tonight. He still faces the problem that he just can't lose more big states after his Texas drubbing. If he splits Florida and Ohio with Clinton, he loses more ground.

AP just called it for Sanders. As big a win as he could have hoped.

    LOL. Trump has lost Olbermann:

    Okay, Donnie, you win.

    I’m moving out.

Not moving out of the country — not yet anyway. I’m merely moving out of one of New York’s many buildings slathered in equal portions with gratuitous gold and the name “Trump.” Nine largely happy years with an excellent staff and an excellent reputation (until recently, anyway) — but I’m out of here.

Olbermann stayed in one place for nine years?

The math isn't in Bernie's favor, even after winning Michigan. For Bernie to get to 2,383 he has to win 60.9 percent of the remaining delegates. That's 1,816 of the remaining 2,983 delegates still up for grabs, if you want to check the math.

She did misrepresent his vote on the auto bailout:
