At the time I made the announcement that I wasn't voting, in order to bring a steadying hand to this board, it was greeted by public mockery. (Although, for the sake of full disclosure, several posters privately messaged me saying it was a courageous move. One called it a "game changer" for this site.)

I think there would be a pretty broad consensus now that my neutrality is the one thing that is keeping this thread afloat and - someone recently confided - perhaps this entire site.

And, if folks want to make that argument that Trump's campaign appeals to racists, I think that's fair. Racists want to cut off Latin American immigration.

But, if you want to argue that he's made blatantly racist comments/arguments, you should probably provide a quote or two.
