Dissent comes naturally to many people. Used to be that journalists were prominent among them.

Dissent is completely normal and, one might say, completely healthy and necessary.

 

"lol they are assclowns can't we do better?!?!!!" is not dissent. It's lazy dumbshit populism.

 

Maybe not artfully stated in that case, but natural dislike and distrust of those in or seeking power IS dissent.

In Trump's case, he IS an assclown and it's a disgrace to "his" party and this country that we CAN'T do better.

 

Hillary Clinton isn't perfect, and I certainly have issues with her, particularly the endless focus-grouping. But the idea that she's some bumbling stooge who doesn't belong on this stage is such utter nonsense I'm embarrassed to read it on a board for journalists. The woman has been running for president for 25 fucking years. So enough with the lame false equivalences.
