If Michigan seceedes, can we open a consulate in Nashville to help with repatriation?

It's not a good sign when your "seal the nomination" surge doesn't even get you to actual equality.

Right. The problem is that at least some of the Bernie Bros will finally gravitate to her once she's the nominee. Not all, but some, and that's more than she's getting now.

Trump doesn't have the infrastructure to do a credible GOTV operation. And he's waited until mid-May to attempt building an infrastructure to get the money to build an infrastructure to do GOTV (not to mention commercials, supporting down ballot races, etc.). He's done incredible (in every sense) to make it this far but reality catches up sooner or later.

This is the election in a microcosm. Even with Republicans lining up to kiss the ring and Trump basking in the glory of victory, while Sanders takes swipes at Clinton and refuses to drop out, polls keep showing her with at least a narrow lead.

I don't doubt that Trump can make this election nominally close. I doubt that come November after both sides have had a chance to entrench their voters, his coalition has a path to 270 over hers. The last 2-3 points he needs over Romney are brutally hard for him to get.

It's a moot point now, but Trump was getting killed in delegate recruitment. Cruz out maneuvered him in several states to either get unbound delegates leaning his way or get bound delegates who were pledged to Trump to actually be his supporters in case the nomination went to a second ballot. Based on that, if Hilary even gets close to the ground game that Obama had in his two elections and Trump doesn't alter how he does things, he will have a serious rough go of it.
