Give it up. Nobody believes that bullshit. THE PIG doesn't give a fuck about working-class jobs. He's a billionaire (maybe) who makes his money out of screwing working-class people out of it.

The problems the Dems have with unions mainly stem from, 1) the GOP's successful 35-year effort to marginalized and crush them; and 2) the Dems' own failure to lift a finger to support unions for 25 years.

Of course people believe it. It's the damn core reason for his appeal.

The core reason for his appeal is the reason everybody in third grade class laughs when the class clown cuts a huge fart on the day the principal comes to sit in and grade the teacher and then giggles "I did it!"

THE PIG is simply a 69-year old real life version of Bart Simpson. That's his appeal.

I think Franklin Foer put it fairly this week when he said that the only position Trump has never wavered on, or walked back, is that women are inferior to He, Trump. That's his most consistent position.

Well yeah, that too. People want to say "ni**er" out loud again. That's why they support The Pig.

Donald Trump's Aggressive Ignorance | RealClearPolitics

A source familiar with [Donald] Trump’s thinking explained that the billionaire businessman was reluctant to add new layers of policy experts now, feeling it would only muddy his populist message that has been hyper-focused on illegal immigration, trade and fighting Islamic extremists.

“He doesn’t want to waste time on policy and thinks it would make him less effective on the stump,” the Trump source said. “It won’t be until after he is elected but before he’s inaugurated that he will figure out exactly what he is going to do and who he is going to try to hire.”

People are buying this shit. They are buying it in bulk right now.

Hillary probably still wins, based mostly on the challenges of the electoral map, and demographics. She may even win in a landslide.

But, she's completely unlikable. There's a chance she loses.

People aren't voting for Trump because of his positions, so it doesn't matter if he changed them.

They're voting for him to bring change to Washington. They're voting for him because they think he "cares more about people like them."

They're voting for him because they think Washington is currupt, and rigged, and don't want another career politician

And those aren't things Hillary can really counter.

If you followed Perot or Buchanan's campaigns, you know there's an appetite for a populist campaign. But, neither had a major party line like Trump has.

And any Dem who's previously argued that Perot took votes away equally from Clinton and Bush/Dole, can't argue that a populist campaign can't take away votes from a Democratic nominee.
