    According to IMDB, Avery guested on each show and was a regular on Fresh Prince, but now that you mention it, there were two Beckys on Roseanne, the mom changed on Fresh Prince, I didn't watch the other shows enough to know...

    There were also two Mama Carlsons on WKRP in Cincinnati (I have to note these things, see sig). A snooty stage actress played the role in the pilot but hated it, so she was replaced after the first episode. A couple seasons later when WKRP had one of those mail-it-in "reminiscing" episodes, they had to re-shoot parts of the pilot with the new Mama.

    the mom was always Liz Sheridan. Father was originally Phil Bruns before Barney Martin

    Jerry Stiller wasn't always George's dad, either. The role was originally played by John Randolph in the episode "The Handicap Spot." They reshot the scenes Randolph was in and replaced him with Stiller for the syndicated version. If you have the Seinfeld DVDs, you can see both versions of the episode.
