"I support the president's efforts to disarm Saddam Hussein. I think he was right on in his speech tonight. The lessons we learned following Sept. 11 were that we can't wait to be attacked again. ... We're left with no alternative but to take action."

    Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Indiana

Thanks, I'll make sure if I ever move to Indiana, not to vote for him. I certainly would hope that the Commander in Chief was better informed than a liberal Senator from Hoosiers.

I presume you mean this patriot, former President Bill Clinton.

"Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons."
    President Bill Clinton

Sen. Bayh was not the one who lied. Bush did lie to the people. There were no WMD and he knew it. He just wanted to settle his daddy's bet.

Putting quotes from senators who have been lied to as much as the people is not the same as putting the quotes directly from the monkey's mouth.

Or maybe this is the patriot you were looking for...

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
    Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Massachusetts

We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.

I'm no big Bayh guy, by any stretch . . . but Bayh's statement was based on the
    supposition . . .

    LAUGHABLE, NOW

. . . that Bush was telling the truth and dealing straight.

The sober among us, know better.

Maybe this is the patriot HeyAbbott is looking for...

"Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons. There's no question about that."

    Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-California

yeah, it was based solely on what Bush said that night.

Er, perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the Democrats were saying the exact same things since at least 1998?

Further proof that Boom and Biff are an item--liberal use of the quote function. Irrelevant quotes, but quotes nevertheless

So, in the spirit of Biff, here's mine:

In a world darkened by ethnic conflicts that tear nations apart, Canada stands as a model of how people of different cultures can live and work together in peace, prosperity, and mutual respect.

For two Timbits and a double double, name the speaker.
