UF student Tasered after questioning John Kerry

They shouldn't have tasered a guy who was face down on the ground and surrounded by six supposed police officers, I don't care how big a douchebag he was being.

As I said before, if six cops can't get one guy cuffed without electrocuting him, they don't have any business being fucking cops.

The guy's a tool. The cops aren't any good at their jobs.

Another straw man because you can't argue the point. How telling.

They weren't trying to arrest him at first. They were trying to remove him for disrupting an event, the same way they would an obnoxious drunk screaming obscenities and trying to pick a fight at a football game. After he resisted them physically, then he got arrested. Contrary to what some here seem to believe, just because you disagree with how cops are handling a situation doesn't mean you can start shoving them.

  4. I am not condoning his shoving, but I wonder why they decended upon him so quickly.
It wasn't like the guy was screaming for a minute. They cut his mic way too quickly (and without good reason, I might add) and then bang, there are the cops.
The whole situation just strikes me as un-American.

    Thank you Zeke.

    Perfect summation.

More and more strawmen, JR. More and more telling that you are soundly routed.

They couldn't get the last cuff on but there were six of them. So, following your logic, they weren't rough enough on the guy, right? So they should have broke his arm instead of tasering him?

Sometimes I'm astonished at the threads that have legs here. When JR and Hondo were holding hands, I figured this one had lost it's momentum. Now we have accusations of old_tony supporting the Chinese Army. With no evidence. Neither JR nor o_t needs anyone spuriously adding to or expanding on their opinions. Why not attack folks, if you must, on what they actually state?

I wouldn't accuse a turd in the gutter of supporting what happened in Tiananmen Square.

Actually, as the video shows, he was going for much longer than 30 seconds. If you haven't watched the video linked below, I encourage you to. The other thing some don't seem to get is that question and answer time was over. Plenty of people asked contentious questions with no problems, but this guy made a scene, demanded to be accomodated and then decided instead of one question like the rest of the room he had a right to a full speech himself. What he asked had nothing to do with what happened - he could have been reading Green Eggs and Ham.

    Bad analogy.

    He didn't disrupt the event.

The idiot cops along with the guy who shut off the mic disrupted the event.

Kerry was quite willing to answer the question.

    Thanks, Jacky.
I completely recognize their need and understand their use of strawmen. They understand they're soundly defeated but aren't smart enough to take a knee and move on to next week's game.

So you're acknowledging you have no answers as to what they should have done instead, just that they must be crappy cops and they should have done something else. And when I told your contention of Kerry having security was completely wrong, your way of handling that was to decide not to let the facts affect your argument anyway? Nice.

Now I know why you're so uninformed in your postings. It's obvious you haven't read much of this thread, including the information that the Q & A portion of the night was already over, yet he pushed through people and demanded time at the mike, then kept interrupting Kerry and acting as though everyone there owed him the opportunity to deliver his mantra. The organizers cut off the mike and asked he be removed. And then he went into his douche-diva act.

But posting while uninformed seems to be your stock in trade, JR, so don't change now.
