Not really, but thanks for putting words in my mouth.

And regarding your latest post: How is hanging a noose any different from burning a cross? A symbol can be criminal if it incites violence. If I were Jewish and someone hung a Swastika from the "WASP" tree, you're damned right I'd be looking to kick some ass.

No matter how hard you try to make it so, it's still nothing more than a symbol. How people react to the symbol is their own choice, and the penalties for their actions are theirs to pay.

That's fine, but it doesn't excuse you and your actions from the laws. Jumping some guy (not a part of the noose-hanging, BTW) doesn't make you Rosa Parks. And I'm sure Rosa Parks wouldn't condone their actions. But you guys are continually arguing that their actions are just fine with you because there was a noose somewhere. And it tells me all I need to know.

That simply isn't the law of the land, tony, and hasn't been for a long time.

Then why are the Jena 6 charged if that's not the law?

Well, Dan, if the truth hurts maybe you should try getting on the side of truth.

That's not the question you should be asking. It should be, Why weren't the white kids whose racism ignited this whole mess charged with inciting a riot? I know your answer, but it's not the correct one, at least according to the law outside of the Deep South.

Oh, heal me, Father, would you please?

    Take me to the river.
    Drop me in the water.

Since when is 6 on 1 a riot? It's an assault. And that's what they're charged with.

Wouldn't you need a riot for charging someone with inciting one? A riot would have been if a big group attacked the kids under the tree then, not 6 on 1 later.

Oh, come on............A pot of water simmers before it boils over.

That could happen here, and that's why there is all the alarm.

Those who cannot remember history are doomed to repeat it, etc.

Just try your local church. Knowing the difference between truth and untruth doesn't automatically make me a priest.
