The Estonian prime Minister just invited NATO to set up forward operating bases in her country in the event of expanded Russian aggression.

I have a good deal of respect for Vindman, but "we" are not Poland or Slovakia. They're their own countries with their own decisions to make. No NATO country has been attacked -- yet -- so they are not obligated to come to Ukraine's aid, although both have, just not with fighter jets. There's also the logistical problem. The planes would have to takeoff from their airfields, which IS an involvement in the war. It's not like the missiles and ammunition countries are sending. Planes can't travel by truck.

Another point I saw was that their air forces are relatively small. The number of fighter jets they were supposedly giving to the Ukraine amounted to their entire air force, which would leave their own countries completely defenseless after essentially declaring war on a superpower.

    Not "the" Ukraine.

    Just "Ukraine."

    Thanks.

Can Ukraine not attack that long Russian convoy from the air?

I had CNN on this morning and former Lt. General Mark Hertling addressed that. He basically said the Ukrainians have limited resources so they need to prioritize. A lot of the convoy consists of supply trucks. He said they are making choices, and it's better to use the limited munitions they have to try to take out say a rocket launcher than to take out the truck in the convoy trying to bring more rockets for the launcher. The rockets are useless without the launcher.

Hertling is a good Twitter follow.

So is Tim Mak, an NPR guy on the ground in Ukraine.

Russia accidentally released an obviously pre-written and pre-scheduled victory statement, based on beating Ukraine in a few days. It is very revealing to read.
