    There's been arguments for suspending Russian nationals. Surely would violate the all-governing CBA.

    Why the heck not - Ovi and friends get to sit it out until 'we figure out what the hell is going on'

    It’s the NHL CBA, it’s just a local rule. Now if it were the NBA CBA, it would be a different story. Only the Books of Matthew and Leviticus take precedence over the NBA CBA.

    I thought I'd read somewhere that Russia was basically just the other side of the American coin when it comes to personal freedoms?
