I will share something that happened stateside that I thought was neat.

I drove five hours last Saturday to attend my nephew's wedding. The wedding colors, as I ascertained by the invite, were blue and gold. That didn't click until I saw all the sunflowers on bouttonieres and corsets and decorating the tables at the reception. Sunflowers are Ukraine's national symbol and sorry, Kansas, but you got second.

After I remarked to my brother on all the symbolism afterward, I was told that my nephew's bride was born in Ukraine and was adopted.

That fact was never mentioned in the wedding or the reception. But it made me feel a little better about my family.

I can't find a picture of it, but last night during the news, there was an image of that plant that my husband kept rewinding and looking at again. If you see it, there are what appears to be multiple small round concrete structures. They're grouped together. They were in eights or 10s. There were a lot of them. He believes that is on-site storage for used fuel rods. If those were breached, or blown up, that could be a massive catastrophe. Used fuel rods are highly radioactive. And not protected to the degree that the reactors are.

Thoughts and prayers for Trumpists. Their favorite country isn't covering the spread.

They're playing like they are coached by Hank Iba.

Actually, the greatest sports upset of all time was February 1980.

The 50th anniversary you are referring to is the greatest sports heist of all time.
