    We’re a long way from that point.

    But let’s pretend the Russian army just continues to collapse, and Ukraine rolls into the Crimea, threatening to leave the Black Sea fleet homeless.

    How far at that point does Putin go to protect his navy?

    Can't be long before the Narrative (TM) shifts from "Ukraine should cede territory to Russia to stop the war and ease its people's suffering" to "Ukraine should cede territory to Russia to help Putin save face and preserve regional stability".
