I think it's fantasy thinking to believe China's going to allow a blockade of its ports or US interference in China's attack on Taiwan without massive response.

Massive, as in sinking at least 2 US aircraft carriers and directly attacking Guam (which is why we're quickly ramping up Australia as our new South Pacific bases).
