Looks like the Russians might have blown another dam, or perhaps opened it wide and drained the reservoir behind it.

Looks like blowing dams will be Russia's MO upon exiting.

But you get one bite at the apple at blowing dams. As an esteemed SJ scholar once said, you only nut once. The flood waters will recede in days and the counteroffensive will proceed forthwith.

The environmental/ecological disaster lasts far longer. It shows what a sadistic bastard Putin is.

If you've been wondering what the Russians were going to do with those ancient T-54 and T-55s they've been running around Ukraine, here's one thing. They loaded one up with 3 1/2 tons of TNT, another 1,100 pounds of air-dropped bombs, rolled it toward a Ukrainian position and then detonated the thing by remote control. Or maybe the Ukrainians detonated it when they tried to knock it out. Either way, this is a really, really big boom.

This article gives a quick explainer of why this could be a very big deal, as well. Namely, Russia has a ton of these things already sitting around and to put them into operation only requires getting them in basic running order. They also have lots of munitions to pack into them. Survivability becomes a non-issue when the tank is not intended to survive.

Here's drone footage of the tank exploding. It appears to hit a mine first, and then around the :57 mark is when it blows up for real.

I wonder if Putin is actively trying to take out what he sees as a threat.
