That was the first movie I ever saw in the theater. I must've been 9 or so. Ahhh, memories.

    Ummmm... you mean Bruce Campbell.
And as an aside, if you ever get a chance to read his book, "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of B-Movie Actor," I highly recommend it. Not just for some funny stories, but it really gives you a good view of some behind the scenes, preparation and grunt work a good actor goes through.

Love "Hope and Glory" especially the scene at the end when the school gets bombed by a stray German plane, and the one kid raises his hands to the sky and yells, "Thank you, Adolf."

PC's mention of Jeff Bridges reminded me of one: "The Vanishing," also starring Kiefer Sutherland, Sandra Bullock and Nancy Travis. It's a remake of a better Dutch film, but very enjoyable in its own right. I've probably seen it 20 times.

Nice pull. Probably the only thing Lou Diamond Phillips was ever good in.

Big, I thought he also was good in that movie where Meg Ryan was the dead helicopter pilot, with Denzel, title of which I'm too lazy to google.

    Ditto on "Fearless."

Also "Reversal of Fortune," featuring fantastic performances by Jeremy Irons, Ron Silver and Fisher Stevens (and one of the first appearances of Felicity Huffman).

Duck You Sucker and Once Upon A Time In The West are my eternal go-to's for this kind of thread.

One from bizarro land, version Japan ...

The title is ridiculous. Some of the movie itself is ridiculous, but it's entertaining as hell. Of all channels, TCM shows it sometimes late at night, especially around Halloween.

I don't know why the poster has that menacing skull-face in the bottom corner, there is no such character even remotely resembling that in the movie.

They are coming back from St. Helens in the movie. The mountain in the background at the scene is Mount Si. I actually go to that gas station all the time on my way to or from the mountains.
