"Sidney, I will come across this desk and stab you through the heart with this fuckin' pencil, I swear to God."

Last year I was walking through yet another airport when I had the damnedest deja vu. I looked down and realized I was in the exact spot in the Vegas airport where Alonzo and the agents were watching from above during the exchange where Cerrano got the disks. It still looks exactly the same. It was bizarre.

So does that mean it just sucks, or its over-appreciated?

    Cool story Babar. Kudos.

Any chance Marvin Dorfler was buyin' a ticket with a cancer stick hangin' out of his mouth? Just curious.

I can agree with you on this one. It was a good movie and I liked it even better when I watched it the second time.

I'm even a runner and have to disagree with you on this one. Maybe I have walked away too many times to actually give it a chance.

Just watched Beautiful Girls tonight for the 1,000,000th time. I love that movie, and never felt it got its due.

I think Wonder Boys is also underappreciated.

  10. I thought Donnie Darko was horrible, but I know a lot of people that count it among their favorite movies.

For me, I'm not sure if it's under appreciated or just under viewed, but I think Tombstone is one of the best movies ever and it's rarely brought up in many conversations.

Another couple of flicks I enjoyed but I'm not sure of public perception are Secondhand Lions and Big Fish.

Many of the people I knew at college loved Donnie Darko. I sat through it once and I was bored out of my mind by the middle of the movie. I can see why it is a cult classic though. If you want to space out and just not think, it's not a bad movie.

Under Siege. Well, it's on right now,

I jest, a little, but I do like the way the story was put together. One of the better Die Hard-inspired stories. And maybe Seagal's best performance. Worth it, really, for the manic chemistry betwene bad guys Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey. I bet they had a hell of a lot of fun making that. Looks like it, anyway.

I always thought Erika Eleniak, based on that movie, would have been a bigger star.

I like the moment when she kills Colm Meaney. Seagal gets this smirk like even he can't believe the screenplay cslled for that.

Andrew Davis directed, and went on to do the Fugitive. Interesting that he previously did Code of Silence, which was maybe the best Chuck Norris movie and had a ton of Chicago talent in it, including one of the first roles I can recall for Dennis Farina.
