I get the sense it upsets you that YF has a skill that people are willing to pay good money for.

POO, maybe what I'm suggesting isn't for you. And that's ok.

All I'm trying to encourage is a, "if life hands you lemons, make lemonade," outlook.

People need to look for opportunities. And you need to look everywhere because they're often where you least expect them. I know that was true for me.

Maybe they're not at Subway. But, then again, maybe they are.

I get the sense there needs to be some antitrust investigations by the DOJ in YF's industry in his area.

How do I find opportunity if the government won't tell me where to look?

Agreed. But that doesn't invalidate the entirety of conservative economic thought wrong, nor does it by default make all government intervention in the marketplace right.

Coffee machines are easy to fix, but espresso machines are harder.

Most of the chains use expensive, Swiss made super automatic machines that require specific training on that particular machine.

Folks that knew how to fix traditional machines don't know how to fix the new ones.

The growth in the industry has been explosive. Every McDonald's in America added an espresso machine in the last year.

Dunkin Donuts, Panera, Au Bon Pain, COSI, and all kinds of chain restaurants have machines.

Most any Hospital, College, Hotel, and Corporate Campus will have at least one and probably several. Abbott Labs has at least five on their corporate campus.

There's a shortage of people who can fix these machines & they can't afford to have down time.

I'm reliable. I'm good. I stock parts. I have loaner machine available.

I'm worth it and companies are happy to have me.

Given your outsider status, YF, you should know that bitter liberal journalists hate people who make money.

Speak for yourself. I don't know why you all hate America.

Maybe YF is a union laborer. if so, then it's OK for him to get $50 an hour because he's not the evil ownership.

    Nope. It's my company.

$75.00 to walk in the door. $75.00 per hour while on site. Minimum of one hour.

$0.27 per mile round trip. You pay for my parking.

I get a 50% discount on the list price of parts, so it's a 100% markup. (I can often get parts at an even better price by using different vendors.)
