Yeah, Onion AV Club didn't factor into my reasoning. But lots of sites have brought up the Friends comparison, not favorably of course.

And your opinions are strongly expressed, too. :)

And I wasn't suggesting we were incapable of deciphering fact from opinion. I was saying that's a fact. Not always, but often. And yes, I mean for others as much as me.

Happy Endings has been on three seasons?

A journalist who can't determine fact from opinion is not going too far. That's my opinion.

You're expecting us to pander to idiots. You're smarter than that, as are the other members of this board who are worth my time.

I guess you pretty much underlined it. Yes, I guess I was sort of expecting people to pander to the LCD.

Kerry Washington looks great on my LCD.

She is breathtaking, no doubt about.

Shotty, it is a fact that Shonda Rimes' shows blow goats. They are emotional porn. Our ability to express this is not what makes it convincing.

You watch. Let's meet back here in a year to discuss Scandal. It will be even more absurd and silly. And only slightly related, three more staffers at Seattle Grace will have died in gunfights, dinosaur attacks and/or natural disasters.

DD, I totally get that. You're dead on. I just have an infinitely higher emotional porn threshold and suspension of disbelief than you. (That's not a strength of mine; fully aware of it.)

On the other hand, if there weren't millions like me, we'd all be treated to three hours of reality TV a night. So we do serve a purpose ...

I always liked the chase/fight scene in the Bana Hulk.

IMHO, it was the perfect way to end the show. I wouldn't say I hated the finale at first, but I definitely was disappointed at the time. I probably wasn't alone in hoping for or expecting the finale to be the funniest episode ever. There was no way the finale could have lived up to those expectations. But I also think even most diehard Seinfeld fans realized the show had to end. There were some great episodes in the last two seasons ("The Little Kicks" and "The Strike" stand out to me), but overall the show had more ups and downs than it did in seasons 3-7.
