I don't know. Guess I've become a softie in old age. I find the Twitter and Bluesky comments on this story even more deranged and pathetic than normal comments on crime stories. I wasn't quite sure Taylor Lorenz was completely off the rails after her "raw dogging the air" complaint a few days ago about people who don't mask but her outright glee at this shooting has finally convinced me. And she's one of many. Should it just stop with the CEO? Think of the excitement online if a few active shooters took out hundreds of employees at a health insurance office, especially if they got a lot of the folks who actually handle coding and claims. They'd all deserve it! That'd sure make other folks think about getting into the insurance biz, right? Yeah!

One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic.

As someone who loves movie is Grosse Pointe Blank this for some reason has seemed like a hit to me. Maybe not the best execution but still seems like it. And not to justify it but if it is, like was said in the movie, if I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

That said, that is Hollywood. So is this like that? Probably not, but it's where all my thoughts have gone.

That was an awfully long .380.

It looks to me like it has a suppressor. He might be using low power/subsonic rounds or maybe the automatic did not get enough recoil/gas pressure to cycle properly, especially if it was indeed a .380. He looked like he knew what he was doing clearing the jam.

It was 6th Avenue. Close enough.
