I remain kind of amazed those fucks in NYC who held up signs in their offices saying something to the effect of, We’re the 1%, didn’t get followed home and beaten senseless.

The feeling of being on the poor end of, Fuck you, I got mine, could drive people to murder, for sure. If someone killed Elmo and Bezos, not 10 people would shed a tear for them.

Politicians and those in power do a great job dividing our citizens by race because they don’t want to see what happen if we organize by class.

I shed no tears for the dude killed today. It won’t be the last. Because that’s where we are as a country, in any sense you wish to take it.

The majority of the country thinks that nationalized medicine is somehow going to make us into a Trotsky-esqe society. So if we are going to have the square peg of for profit health insurance fit into the round hole of employer sponsored plans, those companies who want to survive are going to make decisions which will piss people off and/or bankrupt them.

The lack of civility in this nation is alarming.

To be fair, pretty much everything about where we find ourselves now is alarming.

    From that piece:
Confirms the memes! Death penalty was good then!

Klippenstein did a decent job of trying to out-nut Lorenz today though I think he ultimately fell short.

Again, why are we stopping at a CEO? Why not murder everyone who works in health insurance? All of them play some role in “killing people,” I suppose. Mass shootings for one and all. Won’t shed any tears!

Political violence is bad. Unless it’s against health insurance employees. Not a deranged sentiment at all.

Back to Lorenz. She’s been nutty for years but today seeing her absolutely unhinged posts just drove home how insane it was that she had prominent positions at the Post and Times. And execs lived in fear of her calling them out of touch! Celebrating a murder and calling for more of the same for others. She also probably appreciated the shooter being masked up.

And she was hardly alone of course. I shouldn’t be startled any longer by people saying stupid shit because they want to be edgy. And I shouldn't be surprised by outright online wickedness. Yet today, I was.
