Usually, on Sunday. It is UM on front, MSU on the backpage, and for the web, it is no where near close. U-M dominates the web.

Yea, I did a double take at that too.

Just went to Google maps, plugged in Comerica Park to Michigan Stadium and got 45 miles.

So wait, an admitted U-M fanboi is complaining about MSU getting shafted in its coverage?

And MSU makes it on the front page more than you realize. Obviously, depends on the game. But I'd bet the disparity isn't as high as you think it is.

    Especially in hoops.

Remember when Tom Izzo was going to save Detroit this past spring? How soon we forget.

97% of the nation forgot about that by about the time they fell behind by 35 points.

There's a big difference between attending the press conference in Schembechler Hall, the majority of which is not open to the public (only the U-M athletic museum on the main floor is), and going to the game, where he would have to interact with the fans as he's entering/leaving the press box and going down to the field for postgame interviews. It's a very, very, very big difference.

I should add that I'm not sure if the press conferences still are in Schembechler Hall. If they're not, they're in the TV studio in Crisler Arena or the Center of Champions (I think that's what they call it) that's between Crisler and the stadium. Neither of those areas are open to the public.

I'm a fanboi, but I'm observant. And don;t think for a second that MSU hoops gets as much coverage as UM football.

Front page story on the web every day last week. Not just about the scandal either, or Rich Rods law suit. Main story about the starting QB and other stories from Thursday on.

The Detroit News prints a story on 12 coaches having mortgages with The Bank of Ann Arbor, where Michigan AD Bill Martin is Chairman.

Is this the News just trying to dig up anything that looks bad on Michigan and DickRod?

Obviously, a conflict of interest, but is it really a big deal and worth a story?

No because they actually sought out credible sources and interviewed a scholar from Carnegie-Mellon who said this really is a small conflict of interest.
