Uh, how can the compliance office NOT raise the question when NONE of the monthly reports were turned in by the football staff in the 2008-09 school year? HOW?

How big of a deal is that? I still suspect that this will be a slap on the wrist - like requiring more compliance training or something like that. And I'm no Rich Rod/UM can do no wrong homer - I don't like seeing my university in headlines like this whatsoever, but I don't think he's in any kind of trouble unless the NCAA really hammers them, which they won't.

Mr. Jennings - I respectfully beg to differ. Not filing a monthly report for an entire school year is, indeed, a problem - and the compliance office allowed it to happen.

    No excuses.

Christ, is there anything that hasn't gone disastrously wrong with this hire? From the crappy classless way he left WVU, the ugly lawsuit, the horrendous on-field perfomance, NCAA trouble, and now this--all in less than two years--this guy's looking like one of the all time train wreck hires.

Rodriguez won't lose his job over this.

Their compliance guy is fucked though.

You know, I thought he might make it for one more year. Now? I ain't so sure.
He brings nothing but bad press to UM... The alums can't be happy.

Unless he's got some documentation letting R-Rod and the AD know about this shit, you're right he's fucked.

Will someone change the god damn thread title.

First of all, it makes no sense. Second of all, Central Michigan is missing an "r".

Lastly, Michigan is 5-6, I need a stiff drink.

Actually, the compliance director is a she - Judy Van Horn. She's the senior women's athletic administrator. Methinks that she and RichRod are both heading to the unemployment line.

Unless this an attempt to create a "for cause" reason to fire Rodriguez so they don't have to buy him out, someone in the compliance department is going to swing for this.

A lot of UM fanboi message boards are crawling with people that think Brian Kelly or Les Miles will be here next year.

Both of which are probably preposterous ideas.
