If not Harbaugh, there are several others out there with ties to the Bo-Mo-Lloyd years, like Terry Malone and Scot Loeffler. It'll be interesting to see who ends up at U-M. I don't see Les Miles leaving LSU, though. I think he alienated too many people, and why would he leave a plum job in the nation's best conference?

I think Michigan would be nuts not to go with Harbaugh. What he's doing at Stanford, and the fact he played at Michigan, would seemingly make him a cinch.

If Scot Loefler is the next head coach at Michigan I am going to rip my eyes out of my head, and arbitrarily start rooting for a new team, like Penn State.

Morgan Trent was a hero? We weren't watching the same football games!

His comments could now be easily turned into a positive: "I know some things were done inappropriately here in the past, and I know they need to be changed."

Michigan's "academic standards" have been a fraud for many years, anyway.

Hero as in a "hero to zero" sense. And, yeah, people loved Morgan Trent as a senior - seemed to buy into the whole RR regime, great representative of the university, local kid done good, etc.

I know Loeffler, I like Loeffler. Not as a head coach, not at Michigan.

Detroit Free Press had a story today on how recruit Demar Dorsey - who has had his share of legal troubles in Florida - has signed with Michigan AND a Kansas juco, in case he can't play at Michigan.

Yes, it's the same kid that AnnArbor.com's Dave Birkett mocked (crossthread).

Is this even news? I read somewhere that this is common practice for kids to sign at JUCO's just in case.

In my experience with JuCos, which hasn't been much in the last 10 years (though I once was SID at one), players don't actually sign there until they officially fail to qualify. But JuCos will hold scholarship spots open for four-year signees they figure are not on track to qualify.

More bad news for the maize and blue: ESPN is reporting that the NCAA is investigating DickRod's days at West Virginia:

When, oh when, is new U-M AD David Brandon - a Bo disciple - going to cut bait?
