AnnArbor.com did a story on how the compliance staff continually bugged football staffers for the CARA forms. Among the staffers was DickRod's secretary, who should have said something to him (Betcha she did).

Uh, why didn't the compliance director, Judy Van Horn, tell DickRod directly that there was a problem if the minions supposedly weren't following through? Weidenbach Hall and Schembechler Hall are about a five-minute walk apart. The only tough thing about the walk is deciding whether to go through or around Yost Ice Arena.

And, why doesn't DickRod have a university-issued e-mail account like every other employee?

The NCAA investigators will grill DickRod about his so-called lack of knowledge when the U-M crew meets with them next weekend in Seattle. If he knew about the problem, why didn't he do something about it? If he didn't know, why the hell not?

Third graf might have told it all.
"Instead, compliance office administrators spent more than a year-and-a-half cajoling football administrators to turn in the Countable Athletically Related Activities forms, but never copied Rodriguez on the e-mails."

    or...

"Don't copy me. You handle it because I don't want to know."

Well, beating OSU will save his ass if he is in the purgatory region of 7-6 or 8-5.

Under .500, he's done even if he beats the Bucks.

At 9-4 or better, he's safe, unless this NCAA stuff erupts into really dirty business (that sticks).

Yes, yes - Rodriguez I am sure would be a much better person in your eyes if he pushed a 20-year old into a bathroom, had his bodyguards locked the door and not let her out or anyone in and then proceeded to (allegedly) molest her.....

I mean, give me a break. Rodriguez isn't a saint, but these attempts to paint him as the devil because he (a) took a better job for more money (b) had some low grade assistants monitor summer workouts and (gasp) coach on the field (c) used bad language and hurt the feelings of a few pussies who shouldn't be playing football anyway are ridiculous.
