Oh Christ, typical yinzer Picksburger --- let's live off a fluke game (I suppose your going to give me the same bullshit about Pitt versus Penn State "hey, who won the last time we played? Huh Huh? Them nits couldn't even score against us......" Forget for a minute that WVU kicked the shit out of Pitt in 2003, 05, 06 -- all blowouts -- no, let's talk about Wannstache on crutches pulling one out of his ass.......

Do you ever get tired of sounding like such a tool?

I mean, yinzers are convinced their programs are superior to WVU's -- yet in the past five years, WVU has won or shared the Big East football title three times, has won two BCS bowls and four bowls in the last five years and been to a Final Four while Pitt has ZERO Final Fours and has never won the Big East in football, never won a BCS bowl and has one bowl win since 2002. Oh wait, they did win the Big East once (and shared it with WVU and 17 other teams) in 2004 and then went and clown slapped by Utah....

Yeah, I can see why you'd be bragging about your Panthers..... ::)

Who was bragging? I just think it's funny how ridiculous you "sound." My only thoughts about Rodriguez until he bailed on WVU was to be impressed by the results. Except for his last game against Pitt. They were facing a bad team with a shot at a national title on the line and played like shit.

Now, if you want to keep obsessing over me, take it elsewhere. Because your next genuine contribution to this thread would be your first.

Is there no thread you two won't spoil?

Take it to PMs and have a happy College Football Can't Start Soon Enough Day.

Can we just lock certain people out of certain threads? Heck, we should try and practice. We have football season coming up. I don't know that I want to see Steeler threadjacks followed by fights, followed by locked threads. Didn't we get a weekly NFL thread locked last year?

Thing was, back in Morgantown, those three-star players included Pat White and Steve Slaton. Rodriguez's WVU staff during its heyday seemed to have a very, very good eye for the talent that fit its system. Dude went from 3-8 his inaugural season to 9-4 the next. And as much as I can't stand the lying, two-faced snake, I figured he'd put Michigan in the top third of the Big Ten pretty quickly. I'm surprised he hasn't been better.

One factor might be that the coaches who snagged guys like Slaton and White aren't in Ann Arbor. They're in Tallahassee and still in Morgantown. His current crew doesn't seem to have the same ability to find diamonds in the rough.

But at WVA, you can look for Diamonds in the Rough. At Michigan, you're expected to get blue chippers and 4-5 star recruits. Not puffing it up, just saying what's expected. You can;t get away with the same gambles you can at West Virginia.

Problem is that the four and five star players he's gotten seem to up and leave on him (at least in the defensive backfield):

Well yeah. He's also expected to keep them.
Just another reason why DickRod is leading the way for the Nebraskafication of Michigan football.

Nebraskafication is a good word :)
