I hate that commercial as well for that very reason.

Howvever Mastercard is going to start marketing a new non-swipe&sign card where for purchases under $25 you just need to pass your card across a reader (like Speedpass at Exxon stations) and it will pick up a digital signal from the card and approve the purchase.

And then he does that little spin ... the delivery boy should have knocked again and kicked him square in the nuts.

No, those commercials are another fine Chevrolet product. Ford is the one bringing us that brilliant Bold Moves campaign, which was only exceeded by DaimlerChrysler's extremely-well-thought-out Ask Dr. Z promotion.

Speaking of annoying and lame ... the new McDonald's "Dollar Menunaires" campaign. Rarely will you see a remote used faster than when those come on.

No shit?!? Home Depot stole Helping Hand away from Hamburger Helper? Damn ... must've missed that one in the Transactions listing. :D

It's amazing now. The only TV I watch at this point is when the game's on here at work. I have been sans TV service at my house for almost two weeks now and, to be honest, it's quite interesting.

Definitely don't miss those damn "this is our country" commericals though.

Although the Girls Gone Wild ads are missed :D

I remain amazingly annoyed by the soup commercials. That is all.

Was covering last weekend so [fortunately] I didn't get to see this annoying, dipshit Visa spot, but it pissed me off so much today that I had to bump this thread back up.

I agree with everything else said, and while you make a good point about the upcoming Mastercard improvement, the bottom line to all this is why do people have to pay for all these small purchases with credit cards? No wonder there's so much credit-card debt in this country.

I know it's already been mentioned, but I have to re-nominate that Dodge ad with the boxing robots. Maybe I just don't get it. But it makes no sense (aside from the obvious assertion that the grill of a Dodge pickup is tougher than a boxing robot. Good to know, but not why I buy a car.)
Of course, it doesn't help that it was on EVERY commercial break for five straight BCS football games.

Have to agree w/ Old Tony on the Visa Check Card commercial. Fucking annoying.

Have another entry to my burgeoning list: those ridiculous, pointless esurance commercials with the cartoon hottie zipping around plugging half-ass insurance. Yeah, as if this is an intelligent way to plug insurance.

The ad for Olevia TVs that runs way too often on ESPN Radio with Mike and Mike. Make another damn ad and stop running this one!

Anything with Mike and Mike needs to stop. A waste of bandwith.
