Thank you so much for bringing this up. What a fricking stupid ass commerical!

That's the only part of those ads I can tolerate, just for the satire involved. If you're going to have a washed-up celebrity doing "I Love the '80s" or "Best Week Ever"-style commentary, you might as well go all out and get Ben Seaver. Inspired choice ... but still awful ads.

A commercial I love: The ones for T-Mobile or whoever it is with the two guys talking. "You don't give your friend's girl a foot massage, and you DEFINITELY don't put her in your five."

Then "Secret Lovers" comes on as her ringer calling him.

God, I lose it every time I see it. It makes me smile. No reason really, other than the palpable awkwardness.

EDIT: No joke, this just came on during the commercial break I was Tivoing past in American Idol after I posted this. I stopped, rewound, and watched it. It makes me happy. I can't help it.

The one for Quaker Oatmeal to Go in which the guy is trying to cook oatmeal on the bus. And of course, it's a white guy trying to cook the oatmeal, while the black woman across the aisle is smart because she grabbed a Quaker oatmeal to go.

These endless spots portraying white men as morons and minorities/women as Mensa candidates are getting old.

Peroni: Italian for "Miller Beer." Not a good beer. It's just bland.

I admit I've had it once, but it was OK, not that bad. Certainly above the quality of PBR or Natty Lite. (sorry for starting a potential threadjack)

I'm not going to read back through this whole thread to see if this one has been posted, but the Alltel commercials with the five mall workers (the four geeks and one...more geek) really sucks.

Is it too late to nominate the Dodge "Mayor of Truckville" ads with Aerosmith?

I just realized that one guy in the commercial was on Growing Pains. I was like WTF.

That new NFL/Diet Pepsi commercial where it has the footage of NFL players dubbed to be screaming about Diet Pepsi is horrible. Like anyone actually thinks that's funny or realistic.

I hate the Comcast ones where they talk about "Comcast Cares" and building a community center. Maybe they're so busy building a community center they can't get my internet connection to work properly...
