The on-screen excitement exhibited by the people who have evidently reached the zenith of evolution by popping a vent hole in their Miller Lite can makes me weep for America.

I watched parts of the Bengals-Falcons game Thursday and Lions-Ravens game Friday on FOX. That dude in the too-small three-piece suit with the huge mustache and beard should be put out of his misery posthaste. Man, is that character annoying!

The Chevy ad where the guys drive around looking for a signal not to be available.

Hey morons...turn off the phone. Congrats! I made your problem solvable! Dumbasses

Yay! More NFL DirecTV fairy commercials!

    Back by popular demand?

Speaking of those DirecTV spots: Comcast has one out with Brian Urlacher pimping Xfinity, or whatever it's called now. He's talking about their NFL package or whatever, and busts out something like "and we don't have any faeries!"

As mentioned, the NFL Network ads with the non-sequitor Blue Suit guy have to end this week or I may not be able to make it to opening day.

I'd rather see Karl Rove's anti-Obama ads at every break (instead of just once a quarter).

I went home to Texas a few weeks ago (during the Olympics) and a local car dealership had a bunch of ads where the guys were goofing off at work under the gist of training for the Olympics (there were several different spots, one they were synchronized swimming, one they were rowing, one they were training for a marathon). Absolutely hysterical. Obviously not high-quality commercials or anything, but they were quite entertaining without being too over the top.

Now back to your regularly-scheduled commercial bashing.

I find myself being bothered that the lovely Mrs. Jack In The Box is two-timing with the dork on the new United Airlines credit card commercial, the guy who got schooled by his smarter co-worker in the earlier United credit card commercial.

Thank you thank you thank you. I kept thinking, "I know that woman...I think I produced her somewhere!" Nope, she's just Ms. JitB.

It's sort of a commercial (Heineken) and sort of not, but the operatic Champions League theme song on Champions League matches is the absolute height of pretentiousness.

Oh yeah, she plays Bradley Cooper's wife in the Hangover movies.

EDIT: By the way, she is Gillian Vigman

I hate it. And they play it before every match and about 67 times during the breaks.
