Sbarro? They still have those. I remember when the parent company filed for bankruptcy and I was puzzled that the business model for three-hour-old slices of pizza at the mall wouldn't be quite so successful.

I'll stick up for Domino's on this. Their pan pizza is much, much improved from any of their products five years ago. It's the top product, I feel, of the giant chains. Papa John's is the best giant chain pizza for eating the next morning. Pizza Hut is crap in a box.

As for the online ordering, that's all I do for ordering pizza. A few clicks and I go pick it up fifteen minutes later. I wish grocery shops could be as easy.

I also worked in a pizza store for three years in college. We tried a mid-1990's version of this and it was a quagmire. I do wish we would have had the online way to order. Fewer knuckleheads who call and do not know what they want to order.

The Kayak commercials are getting old fast i.e. where you have to ride a chair up stairs so you don't waste a second while looking for a vacation deal. It was a gimmick that was over after the first time they did it.

Your rankings are dead-on, exmediahack. Dominos has improved a lot in the past 4-5 years. They actually put more toppings on the pizza, and the $7.49 carryout deal (3-topping large, Sun-Thurs.) is a standby in our newsroom. And yes, it can be ordered online!

As a lifelong resident of the Bowash Corridor, never more than 15 miles from I-95, I have never eaten chain pizza in my life. So I don't watch their ads except you can't escape the Papa John's ads during football season. Naturally I hate them.

I knew Sbarro was still around in places. Seen some airport locations. The one I worked at (mall location) is no more. I don't care for any of the big three since I found a great local pizza place. If someone else is buying, I won't complain though.

Working in college athletics means I eat Papa John's at least once a week. It's not bad (they probably pay for part of my salary with sponsorship) but I'm a bigger fan of Domino's crust.

    Also, Papa John's breadsticks suck.

  7. Did it say "your" parents, or "her" parents?

Because if it's "her," it makes more sense, no?

One thing I've noticed about Taco Bell commercials for a long time. Every other fast food chain can make its slop look good in close up photographs, even the Colonel. But Taco Bell can't. Its products look like crap on TV just as in real life. Makes sense they've gone to a commercial where the food is a minor character.

Ate at Sbarro just a few weeks ago while Christmas shopping. Still alive and still the same old leftovers.

A Sbarro just opened in the mall up the street from me here in suburban Toronto. Had never seen on here in Canuckistan, not like there aren't enough pizza joints around here.

Saw a new instant channel-changer Thursday night. I think it was Old Spice, but it was one of the most inane, dumbest commercials I've ever laid eyes on.

It seems that mothers everywhere are hiding in key spots to make sure their jackass sons are wearing their cologne.

The only memorable thing I can recall from the 30 seconds of mind-numbness is some dork's mother sliding up the coach like a sheet of paper.

    Yech.

Hahahaha! Guess we're split on this one. I liked it the first time, but I won't watch it if it comes on again.
