Between cycling and soccer, I've been subjected to Yahoo's Fantasy Football ad starring JJ Watt yelling "SHUT YOU DOWN!" about 50 times per day on NBCSN's live stream. During today's halftime of City vs. Liverpool, it ran in a loop repeatedly during each break. I counted six in a row at one point.

I've had my TV on the Simpsons marathon which means I've seen a lot of the Hanes ad with the guy wearing kittens as a shirt. I've never hated kittens so much in my life.

Not an ad, but I saw Halloween candy displays in the grocery store today. Seriously.

Was it next to the display of pumpkin beer that has showed up at my local grocery story at the end of August? Too fucking early.

And the dollar store my wife and I frequent, I think they've had some Halloween stuff out since July 5.

No shit. But the good thing...Great Lakes Brewing will probably have "Christmas Ale" out by next week.

Saw a Halloween display about a month ago in Walgreens.

Those Amazon Fire ads with the kids are pretty annoying. If giving your kid an Amazon phone is going to lead to that - I think I'll pass.

If giving your kid an Amazon phone is going to lead to that, leave it in the dumpster

Yep. Halloween candy aisle in full effect at Walgreens in ABQ.

Which reminds me, when does the War on Christmas start? I need to send in my draft card.

Check back at your local Walgreens in October. Guarantee they'll have Christmas stuff alongside Halloween on the first damn day of the month.

Most discount/dollar stores start moving in Christmas stuff once Labor Day is over. For a few weeks they mix it in with Halloween and Thanksgiving junk, but by October they're ready to go full tilt.
