Updated thread - What TV commercial gets on your nerves?

Is it appropriate to have kids in that "Mony, Mony" Nissan spot to be the ones singing "Ride the pony! Ride the pony!"?

 

Because Cleveland needs it more than, say, Buffalo?

 

I know because of its demographics, day-time TV is pretty terrible and the commercials tend to follow suit, but has anyone else seen the ads for Education Connection?

I don't know what the fuck it actually does, but the commercial itself is extremely creepy. So there is a coed in her room who is supposedly trying to figure out how to go to college. While she sings the Education Connection jingle, there's some window washer peering into her room and singing along with here. And, apparently, I'm supposed to be OK with this. She doesn't live in an apartment (as far as I can tell) but it is supposed to be common place for Peeping Tom Window Washer to hoist his ladder up to this chick's bedroom window.

 

I miss the waitress.

 

On judgement day, when the decline of western civilization comes up, Shaq's hokey beyond belief Gold Bond commercials are going to be called to the stand.

Shaq's entire post-retirement persona is wretch-inducing. Oh look! It's a big giant little kid who mugs at the camera. Fuck off hard.

 

What gets on my nerves is when people use "what" in a question when the proper word to use is "which."

I actually kinda liked one or two of the first Rob Lowe spots, but the latest one with the freaky hairy Rob Lowe is just fucking gross.

I kinda like Shaq. He comes across as a guy who doesn't take himself too seriously and who's having a little fun knowing he makes a gazillion dollars a year as a pitchman. I prefer him to a lot of the famous blowhards who look like they've got a stick up their ass, as if doing ads is somehow beneath them.
