Updated thread - What TV commercial gets on your nerves?

I hate Christmas, which is mostly because of Christmas carols, which is mostly because of Christmas carol commercials. It's a struggle to keep from losing my fucking mind every year. So now we have to face that shit out of season? FUCK VERIZON. If I didn't have to have one of their phones for work, I would change carriers on principle.

 

The Disneyworld (I think) ad that rips off the Juno song.

 

Any cleaning products ad being plugged by yelling pitch man Billy Mays. Who knows if half the crap he pitches works as well as it does in the ad, but once he starts yelling at you instead of speaking to you, he loses my interest real fast.

 

Nothing's more annoying than "Baby Baby," which shows up often in late night on the NFL Network and ESPNU. You know, the songs where they insert the kid's name. Makes we want to set my remaining hair on fire and jump out a 14th-story window.

 

The Aleve commercials where the actors feel the need to dance around like idiots. I'm sorry but as a writer, I would have been embarrassed to have written that commercial, and many others.

Including any current Dr. Pepper, or McDonald's commercial.

Oh, come on now. You cannot possibly tell me you turn to volume up when that comes on.

 

Yes, I do. And I sing along. Loudly. It's AWESOME.

And I'm trying to refrain from responding to mustangj...trying...so...hard...

Anyway, I think those free credit report commercials are fairly solid. They get the point across, and everyone that sees them knows where to get their free credit report.

 

I love the freecreditreport.com commercials.

And yes, mustang. It's Dr Pepper. I have lip gloss and sleep pants that would tell you that.
