Not a TV commercial but a radio commercial. But since it's for Burger King I figure it's pretty national ...

The commercial for Croissan'wich where they say "Croissan'wich" in such a fucking whiny and annoying tone that you want to reach through the speakers and choke the fuckers to death.

The University of Phoenix commercial with the knockoff Regina Spektor singing is going to get real old, real quick during the tourney.

I'm enjoying the new Buick and Capital One commercials on the NCAA Tournament right now. Barkley, Jackson and Lee are a hoot. I'm sure I will be hating them by Sunday evening.
Sidebar: Buick's casting directors are on a roll -- and have been for a couple of years -- with the gorgeous women they're using for the commercials. The one outside the club who says, "That's not your grandpa" is fabulous and probably smart, too.

My wife gets annoyed at me when I point out the lack of logic in commercials. But why get paid to create a commercial when you're too fucking lazy to focus on details?

The shaving ones get my goat the most, because NOT ONE OF THEM shows a man with actual whiskers. The shaving cream appears on a face that looks as if it was hit with a professional barber before he even takes a swipe with his obvious bladeless razor.

For that matter, why doesn't any of the Publisher's Clearing House commercial winners live in a mobile home or a trailer park? Come to think of it, why does EVERYONE in EVERY COMMERCIAL live in a fucking mansion, with a driveway the size of a small airport, where their Mercedes (or whatever) can be parked at an angle?

It's a shame gorgeous women are used to sell anything.

Too lazy to look up the other commercials thread.

Cookie Monster and Siri crack me up every time it airs.

I don't know if it's just the frequency and length of the ad breaks on the NCAAs or what, but it was rare when I'd flip from one game in a break and not find at least one other game in a break.
Typical NCAA games have breaks at 14, 8 and 2 minute marks. These Tourney games seem to be 16, 12, 8, and 4, plus top and bottom of the hour breaks.

NCAA games have always had the under 16, under 12, under 8 and under 4 timeouts -- or at least they have as long as I've been watching them.

KY is right. I remember the breaks being at four-minute intervals when I was in college going to games, and that was 20 years ago.

Another (slightly) annoying thing is that when you flip between games in commercial breaks both networks are playing the same commercials in the same order.

Yup. My friend and I were almost taking bets last night on which was the first ad out. We could almost always predict the order. Very standardized across all channels.

I want the Cookie Monster Siri ad to be a series. Please show him during the 12th minute, 11th, 10th, etc. until he finally gets the cookies. (FWIW the first time I saw it, I thought he had forgotten to turn the oven on.)
