Urban Meyer: He gone ... sort of

You'd flunk the keeping-things-in-perspective test. That said...no, some things are just not other people's business.

 

You actually believe that Meyer's $4 mill or so is all on the taxpayers? Where have you been? His base pay come from the university, and is about the same as a department head with tenure (maybe 200 large). The rest is from the University Athletic Association, the private company that runs the Florida Athletic Department.
It continually amazes that no matter how many times its broken down, people still think every bit of those multi-million dollar salaries are on the state dime.

 

There is pressure in the world of big-time athletics.
Accept that, at least.
You and you're ilk hate on people because they make big bucks.
You want them to be "everyday human beings" but you grandstand as if they, with the big money they make, should be able to rise above feeling some job pressure.
Let it go, Hondo.

 

If you think a tenured department head makes that much, even without Urb's sweeteners, you need to stop eating the snow.
