A lot of you are pretty anal about this.

I get pissed off about a filthy public restroom, but there's no need to get batshit crazy about it.

I am not flushing to cover up bathroom noise. It's a men's room.

I used to hang out at an old bar that had a trough urinal filled with ice. Awesome.

I've mentioned this many times, but I'm syaing it again. At one of the Gannett papers for which I used to work, we had a unisex bathroom just off the newsroom. It was between the newsroom, circ. and pre-press. Not a full on men's or women's room, just a single-occupant, unisex bathroom.
Went into that bathroom one Sunday afternoon to find it literally full of shit. On the floor, on the walls. and there was a pair of shit-filled briefs, formerly white briefs.
It was disgusting. Spread-scat boogie. Just awful.

I'm still traumatized to this day.

Those things can't possibly pass a modern health inspection. I've seen them a few times myself, though.

Slightly different topic, but early on in the development of my urinal use, I found it much easier to whip my dick out by pulling it out over the waistband of my underwear instead of fumbling around with trying to get it through the flaps of the underwear fly.

The specific technique involves using my left thumb to hook and lower my waistband while the right hand unreels the hose and does the aiming.

Anyone else do this? Or are most of you underwear fly fumblers?

Never use the underwear fly. And if I'm wearing shorts that permit, it goes through the bottom, out the leg hole.

(I think I've said too much).

I don;t think I've ever used the fly. I used to wear briefs and it was always more trouble than it was worth, especially as a kid. Now a boxer briefs guy and its still the same thing.

My first experience with a trough was at Wrigley. Had never even heard of the concept before. I walked in and it was a tru WTF moment. Didn't know what to do.

My dream is to one day have aurinal in a house I own.

The worst urinal experience I've ever had was in grade school. Walked into the bathroom just after some kid took a shit in the urinal. I was both disgusted and intrigued at the same time, because this was in the bathroom without the full length urinals.

Oh and Vers, you may want to reconsider your love affair with electric hand dryers.

Wait, a paper towel company says people should use paper towels? Get out.

I've seen similar stats elsewhere, didn't realize I had pulled that from a paper towel company.

Here's another source hopefully more reliable than a paper towel company.

It's a problem with reusable grocery bags too, which is a shame considering those are pretty simple ways to be more green.

I actively enjoy a good hand dryer. Anyway, I wonder what the controls are on the study. Again, there's no excuse for lacking paper towels if I am expected to touch anything after applying soap in order to leave your bathroom.

I hate those damn industrial blow dryers that sounds like a jet engine. They work, but damn if they need to be that freaking loud.

The Venture Brothers provide a crash course in the dangers of both urinals and wall-mounted jet dryers:
